Ukrainian President Asks India For Help

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky posted on his social account on the evening of February 26, Beijing time, that he had a phone call with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and briefed the latter on the situation of Ukraine being "attacked" by Russia.

He also said he had called on India to provide Ukraine with political support at the UN Security Council to jointly stop Russia. Earlier, India abstained in a UN Security Council vote demanding that Russia stop military action against Ukraine. Indian officials have previously stated that India holds a "neutral" position.
