Reuters reported on February 27 that Russian troops had entered Kharkov, Ukraine, an adviser to Ukraine's interior minister said.
The Deputy Interior Minister of Ukraine reported that Russian military vehicles and special forces entered Kharkov and engaged in heavy fighting with Ukrainian armed forces in the city, Olga Tokariuk, a freelance correspondent for Spanish news agency Efe in Kyiv, tweeted. He called on civilians to "stay at home, shoot at the occupiers from windows and throw molotov cocktails".
