According to the UN schedule, the UN Security Council will hold another open meeting on the situation in Ukraine at 3:00 pm ET on February 25. The parties are expected to vote on a draft resolution on Russia's special military operations at the meeting.

It is understood that the US delegation submitted a draft resolution on the 23rd, which condemned Russia's military actions and demanded that Russia withdraw its troops from Ukraine "immediately and unconditionally".

Earlier US media analysis said that because Russia is a permanent member of the Security Council and has veto power over the draft resolution, the probability of passing the draft resolution is not high. According to reports, if the draft is rejected, the United States may submit the draft resolution to the United Nations General Assembly for a vote this weekend.
