The Presidential Office of Ma, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and other departments jointly held an emergency meeting on the 18th to discuss flood control and disaster relief. Antananarivo and surrounding areas are still under a red flood warning state that day, and many rivers in the area may rise to warn water levels in the next 12 hours.
Madagascar is currently in the rainy season. The Meteorological Department forecast that the country's northwest, northeast and central areas where the capital is located will continue to rain on the 20th, and the eastern coastal areas may face the threat of hurricanes this weekend.
