On January 5, 2022, local time, Almaty, Kazakhstan, the local state of emergency entered. On the same day, Kazakhstan President Tokayev signed a presidential decree, and Kazakhstan entered a state of emergency. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan announced that illegal protests have caused the death of at least 8 police and National Guard soldiers, and another 317 were injured.
