On March 5, local time, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at an event in Moscow that Russia would consider any attempt by any country to set up a no-fly zone in Ukraine as a war against Russia.

Putin said that sanctions against Russia are equivalent to a declaration of war, but Russia has not yet started to counteract them. Countries that impose sanctions on Russia in the aviation sector will suffer the consequences. Putin also said that the state of war was declared when a foreign enemy invaded, and Russia has not encountered such a situation yet and hopes that it will not happen.
