Iraq Shoots Down Two Drones Over Assad Air Force Base

According to a report by the Iraqi media organization “Shafaq News”, the Iraqi army intercepted and shot down two drones over the Assad Air Force Base on January 4, local time.

The news was just confirmed by the Iraqi security department at the time of press. The security department stated that the drone was shot down outside the base without causing casualties.

Assad Air Base is the second largest airbase in Iraq and the headquarters of the 7th Division of the Iraqi Army. It is located in Anbar Province.
